SOLUTION: A download system 1 includes a plurality of information processing apparatus 10-A to C for downloading programs from a server 14. At least one of the plurality of information processing apparatus 10-A to C includes means for, when a program is downloaded from the server 14, broadcasting information representing that the download is in process to the plurality of information processing apparatus 10-A to C, and the other information processing apparatus receiving the broadcast do not request program download from the server 14.
