PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical bandpass filter the cost of whose film to be deposited by plating can be reduced effectively without generating a light scattering phenomenon. SOLUTION: The optical bandpass filter is composed of: a substrate; a main film which is formed by alternately laminating high refractive index layers consisting of a material having a high refractive index and low refractive index layers consisting of a material having a low refractive index on the substrate and has a laminated structure of (LHxLH)<SP>m</SP>(wherein H is the high refractive index layer; L is the low refractive index layer; x is 2n; n is a positive integer; m≤6) and such an optical characteristic that the transmittance of the light having a first wavelength band in predetermined wavelength bands is≥80%, that of the light having a second or third wavelength band is 40-60%, and that of the light having a fourth or fifth wavelength band is≤1%; and a second matching film having such an optical characteristic that the transmittance of the light having a second corrected wavelength band contained in the first wavelength band is≥95%.
