PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To omit or drastically decrease a cutting process to be performed after forging, thereby largely reducing the manufacturing cost of a CVT pulley. SOLUTION: A first part 17 constituting a sheave portion 9 and having a through hole for allowing a shaft portion 10 leading to the sheave portion 9 to be extended therethrough and a second part 16 constituting the shaft portion 10 are manufactured by warm forging or cold forging. Then, the first part 17 is subjected to carburizing or carbonitriding treatment and the second part 16 is subjected to induction hardening treatment. Thereafter, the shaft portion 10 of the second part 16 is press-fitted in the through hole of the first part 17. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
