PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a collar shape retaining tool capable of retaining a shape around a collar of a collared shirt in a condition of being folded and keeping a collar front part open, regardless of existence or nonexistence of a first button on a collar front top. SOLUTION: This collar shape retaining tool is obtained by forming a projecting piece 2 on one end of a main body 1 which is made of a thin plate having moderate stiffness and flexibility, in a belt-like form and setting on the other end a joint part 3 to insert and join the projecting piece 2 into. Furthermore, supporting pieces 4a and 4b between which right and left stand collars 13a and 13b on the collar front part of a shirt are put are formed through making incisions on two parts on the center of the main body 1.
