PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for improving the concentration in an injection formulation of a compound represented by chemical formula 1. SOLUTION: A pharmaceutical composition comprises (1) 1 pt.mass of 1-(1-hydroxymethyl-2,3-dihydroxypropyl)oxymethyl-2-nitroimidazole having the structure represented by chemical formula 1 and (2) 0.0001-0.5 pt.mass of a carboxylic acid represented by chemical formula 2 and/or a salt thereof. Furthermore, the carboxylic acid represented by chemical formula 2 and/or the salt thereof are preferably sodium salicylate and/or sodium benzoate.
