PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire further improving its running performance on the ice. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire related to this invention comprises a plurality of blocks 26 divided by a circumferential direction groove extending in a tire circumferential direction on a tread surface portion of a tread, and a lateral groove intersecting the circumferential direction groove and extending in a tire width direction. The blocks 26 have a plurality of small blocks 28 divided by a lateral direction sipe 34. A part near a circumferential direction side edge of the small block 28 is divided by a lateral direction small sipe 36 which is shallower than the lateral direction sipe 34.
