PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an omnidirectionally moving wheel and a moving device capable of enhancing straight moving performance and performing stable operations with high getting over performance of an obstacle on a transverse traveling surface, regardless of a rotary shaft direction position of each rotating body. SOLUTION: Each rotating body 2 has a structure of anisotropy in strength having flexibility capable of curving the rotary shaft and bending resistance in the direction perpendicular to the rotary shaft. Each rotating body 2 is curved to surround an outer periphery of a wheel 3 in a ring-shape and is provided in the wheel 3. Each rotating body 2 is capable of rotating with a rotary shaft curved along the same vertical plane in relation to the rotary shaft of each wheel 3 as a center. Each rotating body 2 is compressed in the rotary shaft direction. A brake 4 is mounted on the wheel 3 so that each rotating body 2 may be selectively fixed or rotated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
