PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate the locking and unlocking operations of an embedded nut of outer threaded type, which is according to the conventional technique, likely to be drawn back in the locked condition due to incapability of unlocking and requiring a manual operation for unlocking and difficult to make automation of the nut embedding operation. SOLUTION: The automating tool is structured so that its butting lock part 4 of an insert guide screw 2 of this embedded nut 10 according to the invention is formed in a tapered cam mechanism 5, in which a lock butting part rotates in the same direction as the embedded nut relative to a guide shaft simultaneously with the nut being introduced to the lock butting part by a guide screw to make contacting, to result in the nut being locked automatically with the inserted guide screw owing to the action of the tapered cam, and when the guide screw is to be drawn off at completion of the operation, automatic unlocking is conducted owing to the action of the tapered cam to enable establishment of the automatic embedding operation of the nut.
