The invention relates to a pneumatic shunt resistance comprising a block (2) provided with a gas-bearing oblong cavity (4) intersected by a likewise oblong measuring cavity (6). The two cavities are arranged in such a way that the measuring cavity (6) intersects the gas-bearing cavity (4), thus defining a cross-sectional region. The measuring cavity (6) has a similar cross-section in sections perpendicular to the longitudinal extension thereof in the cross-sectional region of the two cavities. The pneumatic shunt resistance also comprises a resistance body (13) which is arranged in the cross-sectional region of the two cavities and has a similar form to that of the measuring cavity (6) at this point, such that a gap remains between the wall of the resistance body (13) and the wall of the measuring cavity. The invention also relates to gas mixers comprising two flow control loops and a block for reducing the complexity of the piping.
