<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system capable of easily adjusting white balance of white light. <P>SOLUTION: This lighting system 10 is provided with a light emitting device having a first light emitting means, a second light emitting means and a blue light wavelength conversion means. The first light emitting means is a white LED 14 and emits first blue light having a predetermined wavelength at a peak. The second light emitting means is a blue LED 15 and emits second blue light. The blue light wavelength conversion means is a YAG (yttrium-aluminum-garnet)-based phosphor and converts a part of the first blue light to yellow light. The chromaticity of white light being synthesized light of the first blue light, the converted yellow light, and the second blue light is adjusted to a predetermined chromaticity by adjusting both the brightness values of the first and second blue light rays. Thereby, the lighting system 10 can emit white light adjusted to a predetermined white light chromaticity only by using the light emitting means emitting blue light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
