PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system in which information for accessing a destination can be notified to a user by email without performing dial-up connection when communication is performed with the user of a communication terminal in an unresponsive state, and to provide a communication method and an ADSL router. SOLUTION: A personal computer 113 and an ADSL router 112 connected with a telephone 114 are connected with a telephone line 102 through a splitter 111. Upon receiving the call during absence of a user, the ADSL router 112 leaves the termination telephone number as a record and delivers email writing down the telephone number to the user at a predetermined time interval using a normally connected telephone line 102 through the splitter 111. When the email during absence has been stored in a mail server 107, a source mail address is acquired and the email is delivered similarly to the user. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
