PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calibration technique for a measuring system enhanced in flexibility compared with a conventional one. SOLUTION: This system/method is provided with a supply source module including the first linear component and the first nonlinear component (302), determines a characteristic of the first linear component (304), stores the characteristic obtained by the determination into a database containing data of the plurality of different components usable in a test system (306), determines a flatness characteristic of the supply source module (308), determines a characteristic of the first nonlinear component, using the flatness characteristic of the supply source module and the characteristic of the first linear component (310), stores the determined characteristic of the nonlinear component into the database (312), impresses a signal from the supply source module (314), and receives a measured signal from a tested device to determine a characteristic of the tested device, using the data from the database and the measured signal (316).
