PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a desired vehicle height adjustment, without increasing the whole size. SOLUTION: In this vehicle height adjusting device, a vehicle body B of a vehicle can be elevated by driving a hydraulic mechanism P held on the vehicle body B side in relation to the position of an upper end of a suspension spring S locking the vehicle body B side by the upper end, while carrying a lower end on an axle side of the vehicle. The hydraulic mechanism P is communicated with a hydraulic pressure supply and discharge source P1 disposed at the outside and a gas pressure mechanism G provided with repulsive force by gas pressure is juxtaposed with the hydraulic mechanism P. The vehicle height is raised by the repulsive force of the gas pressure mechanism G and supply of hydraulic pressure to the hydraulic mechanism P, and the vehicle height is lowered by self weight of the vehicle by discharging hydraulic pressure from the hydraulic mechanism P.
