PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soldering iron which can adjust temperature with a hand holding the soldering iron. SOLUTION: The soldering iron is equipped with a resistor body 4 fixed to a grip part 1 along the circumference thereof, and a rotary ring 3 rotatably provided near the tip of the grip part 1 along the outer periphery of the resistor body 4. The outer peripheral surface of the resistor body 4 is freely slidable with a moving member 7, and this moving member 7 is fixed to the inner peripheral surface of the rotary ring 3. The inside of the rotary ring 3 is provided with magnets 8, 9 for imparting click feeling to the rotary operation of the rotary ring 3.
