PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for effectively utilizing nano-bubbles for the purification of polluted water by first proving the nano-bubble existence which had never been even confirmed yet followed by establishing the method for producing the nano-bubbles, subsequently determining further the theoretically predicted characteristics of the generated nano-bubbles, discovering the new characteristics thereof by analyzing the data obtained through experiments, and elucidating the mutual relationship among those characteristics. SOLUTION: The existence of the characteristics of the nano-bubbles has been proved to have characteristics such as a surface activity effect and a sterilization effect, owing to a decrease in buoyancy, an increase in surface area and surface activity, the generation of a local high-pressure field, and the realization of electrostatic polarization. By the mutual relationship of those characteristics, the polluted water can be purified effectively by mixing the nano-bubbles with the polluted water. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
