<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cabinet in which a membrane electrode assembly (MEA) is housed, which has satisfactory corrosion resistance against formic acid formed by electrode reaction of the MEA, and which is suitable for a light source mounted on a size-reduced portable electronic equipment or the like. <P>SOLUTION: This cabinet has a hydrogen electrode, an oxygen electrode, and the membrane electrode assembly formed by a proton conductive membrane pinched by these electrodes housed inside the cabinet, and which is employed for a fuel cell, wherein moisture and the cabinet are contacted with each other when the moisture formed by oxygen electrode reaction is removed; and the cabinet of the fuel cell is provided with the base material 2a comprising a magnesium alloy, and with coatings 2b having a chemical treatment film 2ba, an undercoating layer 2bb, and the top coating layer 2bd, in this order starting from the base material side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
