<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor unit capable of suppressing more surely penetration of water into an internal closed space formed by a sensor cap and a gas sensor even when exposed to a high water pressure. <P>SOLUTION: The gas sensor unit 300 is equipped with the gas sensor 100 having a gas detection element 120 extending in the axial direction and a sensor terminal 150 connected electrically to an electrode formed on the gas detection element, and the sensor cap 200 mounted on the gas sensor. The sensor cap has a cap body 220 surrounding the outside in the circumferential direction of the gas sensor, and mounted on the gas sensor; and a cap terminal 210 provided inside the cap body, and connected electrically to the sensor terminal.
