PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the insulation properties of an electromagnetic relay, and to improve an assembly structure so that the electromagnetic relay can be miniaturized and made compact. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic relay comprises an assembly of a stator 4, where an electromagnetic coil 7 is wound around the drum of a core 6 with both ends as armature contacting parts via a coil bobbin 5, a support type armature 8, an insulating substrate 1 for placing and supporting the stator 4 after assembling a fixed contact 2 and a spring-return type movable contact 3, an actuation piece 9 made of an insulator for driving the movable contact 3 in linking with the attraction operation of the armature 8, and a case cover. In the electromagnetic relay, the armature 8 is arranged at the upper portion of a side opposite to the insulating substrate 1 for a stator core as a strip of magnetic plate, a flat contact surface that opposes the plate surface of the armature 8 is formed at the armature contacting section at both the ends of the stator core, and the contact of the fixed contact 2 and the movable contact 3 and the electromagnetic coil 7 are insulated by an insulating partition wall provided on the insulating substrate 1.
