PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording medium superior in flatness and electromagnetic transducing properties and having the long-term storage property and superior dimension stability. SOLUTION: The magnetic recording medium includes, on a nonmagnetic support, a radiation curing layer in which a radiation curing compound containing layer is cured by irradiation with radiation, and a magnetic layer in which ferromagnetic powder is dispersed in a binder in this order.
