PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video recorder constituted so that recording reservation time of the video recorder is quickly changed under user's judgment by acquiring control data regarding airtime of a broadcast program, etc. and transmitting an e-mail to a user's own portable terminal when the airtime of the broadcast program is changed. SOLUTION: An MPU 105 judges whether or not the airtime of a reserved broadcast program is changed by referring to an EPG (s3). In the s3, only whether or not the airtime of the broadcast program being recorded is changed may be judged. When it is judged that the airtime of the reserved broadcast program is changed, the MPU 105 instructs transmission of the e-mail whether or not recording reservation time of a recording reservation information table 111a is changed to the acquired airtime of the EPG to the portable terminal 3 to a communication control part 112 (s4).
