PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in the miniaturization of a camera that, although an operation switch has been miniaturized conventionally in order to arrange the operation switch in a miniaturized camera, the miniaturization of the operation switch causes a malfunction and deterioration in the operability of the camera, and design is restricted when a plurality of operation switches are arranged in a miniaturized camera, and to miniaturize a camera without causing the deterioration of the operability of the operation switch in a tendency of an increase. SOLUTION: In a camera having an LCD fixed to a camera body through a hinge to be opened and closed freely, and a locking means turnable in two directions and holding the LCD when it turns in the first direction but releasing the LCD when it turns in the second direction, the locking means is employed as various operation switches in addition to the holding/releasing of the LCD.
