PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of decomposing dioxins in liquid, capable of decomposing dioxins in liquid under a mild condition with lower reaction requiring energy and at a high decomposing rate without requiring an exclusive container. SOLUTION: The method is for decomposing dioxins included in a liquid filling or stored in a container and is characterized by the decomposition of dioxins in liquid by preparing a mixture liquid by adding a hydrogen donor and an alkaline compound to a treated liquid including the dioxins, taking out part of the mixture liquid after that, applying microwaves to the taken-out mixture liquid while letting the mixture liquid flow into a catalyst filled device set inside a microwave device, and after that, returning the mixture liquid into the container.
