PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine stroke discriminating device making a cylinder head small, reducing costs and exactly discriminating a stroke of each cylinder for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The engine stroke discriminating device comprises a first intake pressure sensor 7, which communicates with intake pipes 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d of respective cylinders through a first communication pipe 5 in the four-cylinder four-cycle engine 25 and detects a joined total intake pressure, a second intake pressure sensor 11, which communicates with the intake pipe 3a of the specific cylinder of the engine 25 through a second communication pipe 9 and detects a single intake pressure, and a crank angle sensor 15 for detecting a phase (crank angle position) of a crankshaft 13 of the engine 25, and discriminates the stroke from the intake pressure detected by the second intake pressure sensor 11 and the phase of the crankshaft 13 detected by the crank angle sensor 15.
