PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve device of which a lamination pattern of a disc spring is visible from an external, which can prevent dust from attaching on the lamination part of the disc spring, and can easily discharge entered rain water. SOLUTION: The valve device is provided with a valve shaft 4 inserted in a stuffing box 1 so as to move vertically, a gland packing 2 interposed between the stuffing box 1 and the valve shaft 4, a packing flange 9 arranged above the gland packing 2 through a packing follower 3, a spring case 6 for housing and holding the disc spring 5, abutting on the packing flange 9 at an upper surface, and having a groove part 12 on a circumferential wall, and a stud bolt 7 for pressing the gland packing 2 through the packing flange 9 and the spring case 6.
