PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance design freedom of a hood and its opening/closing mechanism, while reducing impact received by a pedestrian upon contact with the hood. SOLUTION: The hood hinge is provided with a hood hinge member 2 having one end fixed to the hood 111 side; and a rotation shaft movement mechanism 10 mounted to a vehicle body side and turnably supporting the other end of the hood hinge member 2 by a rotation shaft 14. The rotation shaft movement mechanism 10 converts the turning action of the hood hinge member 2 turned making the rotation shaft 14 as a center interlocked with operation for opening the hood 111 to movement of the rotation shaft 14 to a front side of the vehicle. Thereby, it moves the hood hinge member 2 to the front side of the vehicle with the rotation shaft 14 interlocked with the operation for opening the hood 111. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
