PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly clean a wiper blade by a wiper cleaner in a cleaning device for an inkjet recording head which wipes the parts of the inkjet recording head discharging an ink, and cleans the wiper blade by the wiper cleaner. SOLUTION: As shown in Fig. 4, the cleaning device for an inkjet recording head is provided with: an ink holding section in the vicinity of the face of the wiper cleaner 55 which butts against the wiper blade 53; and a removing mechanism to remove the ink held in an ink holding section, interlocking with the movement of the wiper blade. Whereby the cleaning device removes the ink in the vicinity of an ink scraping section and maintains its cleaning effect. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
