摘要 The invention relates to shipbuilding. A transport ship contains a hull with nose and stern extremities and a stern overhang. In the latter a main engine is located which is connected with the first propeller unit. The vessel contains the second propeller unit connected with the main engine and fastened on the second area created on the stern overhang. The propeller units are placed near the boards symmetrically in relation to vessel centerplane at a distance not exceeding one-and-a-half diameter of screw propeller. Two open half-tunnels are made near the boards which are located at sharp angle to the vessel centerplane and symmetrically relative thereto. Between the open half-tunnels a skeg is located. Each open half-tunnel is formed by connected to each other the upper section, which is connected to corresponding area and board and continues the lower surface of the stern part, and the side section, which continues the side surface of the skeg and is connected with the bottom. The boards of stern overhang are made with symmetrical protrusions for protecting the propeller units. The board surface of each protrusion is connected with corresponding area. Between sternpost and areas two symmetrical relative to the vessel centerplane sections which are predominantly concave and narrow to the areas with which they are connected. The sections are connected to each other on the sternpost by pointed convex section, and form with the board surface an arched bend which ends are connected with corresponding protrusions for protecting the propeller units. The technical result consists in increase of propulsive coefficient and reducing resistance to motion with the stern first.
