METHOD OF SHIFTING GEAR IN A POWER-ASSISTED MANUAL TRANSMISSION

A method of gear shifting in a servo-controlled gearbox (9); the method providing for: generating an oscillation on the angular velocities (?1, ?2) of the primary and secondary shafts (16, 17) of the gearbox (9); separating the primary shaft (16) from the secondary shaft (17) thus disengaging a first current gear (A) when the oscillation has taken the angular velocity (?1) of the primary shaft (16) close to the angular velocity (?1) that the primary shaft (16) must assume to engage a second next gear (B); and connecting the primary shaft (16) to the secondary shaft (17) thus engaging the second next gear (B) when the oscillation has led the angular velocity (?2) of the secondary shaft (17) to equalise the current angular velocity (?1) of the primary shaft (16) multiplied by the transmission ratio (t<SUB>B</SUB>) of the second next gear (B).
