<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optimized high-temperature heat insulating layer capable of realizing the improved high-temperature characteristic and wear characteristic in a coating of a wearable heat insulation layer. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided a material and a coating consisting of a zirconia base and/or a hafnium base of high purity for the applications of high-temperature cycle. A heat insulation layer coating consisting of the material of high purity has a sintering resistance which is considerably improved compared with the coating consisting of a present material of low purity. The material is zirconia and/or hafnium of high purity which is partially or completely stabilized by one combination or several combinations of the following stabilizing agent, i.e., yttrium, ytterbium, scandium, lantanoid oxide and actinoid oxide. The limit of impurities oxide, i.e., the limit of oxides of other components than intended ones can bring the considerably improved sintering resistance. A high-purity coating structure is provided, which is suitable for the applications to the high-temperature cycle and the substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
