<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting apparatus, and particularly provide a high-luminance light emitting optical system. <P>SOLUTION: A light emitting apparatus includes a light emitting element, an optical condenser such as a composite parabola condenser, a dichroic filter between the light emitting element and the optical condenser, and a wavelength conversion material such as phosphor. The optical condenser receives light from the light emitting element through the dichroic filter, and emits light from an exit surface smaller than an entrance surface. The optical condenser is manufactured from a material having high refractivity such as sapphire. The wavelength conversion material is disposed on the exit surface or the like. Radiation luminance of the wavelength conversion material is increased by injecting light into the wavelength conversion material through a high refractivity material, and outputs converted light into a low refractivity medium such as air. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
