<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent printing data from being output in a manner not planned by a user by a change in settings for printing in printing data. <P>SOLUTION: A color judgment section 3009 judges whether printing data is for color pages or monochrome pages. A color related preflight check section 3010 judges whether settings for a color profile in a current page are changed from a previous page. When the result of the judgment shows that the setting of the color profile is changed from the previous page, judges whether or not the result of color judgment in a current page is monochrome. The result of the judgment shows that the color of the current page is monochrome, judges that the adequacy of color treatment specification in the current page is questionable.
