<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron emitting device in which a problem due to thermal deformation of a grid is eliminated by making electrons emitted from a cathode pass an electron passing hole of the grid with high efficiency without colliding into the grid face, and a high system efficiency can be secured. <P>SOLUTION: The electron emitting device is equipped with a grid electrode having an electron passing hole, a cathode electrode arranged with a prescribed spacing with the grid electrode, and a power supply which impresses voltage on the grid electrode and the cathode electrode. An electron emitting region to emit electrons of nearly same shape as the electron passing holes and an electron non-emitting region which does not emit electrons in the region other than the electron emitting region are formed at the position opposed to the electron passing holes on the face opposed to the grid electrode of the cathode electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
