PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing apparatus capable of easily setting a chapter to be reproduced by allowing easy inversion of a selecting state between chapters going to be reproduced and chapters to be skipped in the case of reproducing recording data of programs recorded in a recording medium. SOLUTION: The reproducing apparatus includes a reproduction distinction information switching means that reads a selection input of reproduction or non-reproduction by each chapter, stores the result as reproduction distinction information, and stores inversion presence/absence information in response to a switching instruction of the distinction between the reproduction and the non-reproduction, wherein chapters to be reproduced are sequentially reproduced on the basis of the reproduction distinction information and the inversion presence/absence information.
