PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform failure detection including such a case that any log can not be output in an EDI system. SOLUTION: In an EDI system 1, the status of 5 data such as reception, concentration, classification, integration and distribution is determined, and the transition of the status of the data is operated by an EDI processing part 2, and the change time of the data and the status of every data are recorded by an every data status recording part 4. A failure detecting part 10 performs failure detection by referring to the content of records of the every data status recording part 4 and a status transition processing time master 5 by checking that every data are provided with one data status in the EDI system, and that the status transition of the data has been operated within a time set by the status transition processing time master, and that the status transition of the data has been operated in the order of reception, concentration, classification, integration and distribution, and that the transition of one data of arbitrary two data to a certain status has been operated ahead of the other data, and that the transition of the other data to the following status has not been operated ahead of one data.
