ROTATION DETECTOR, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING INDUCTOR OF ROTATION DETECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase output voltage of a coil in a rotation detector. SOLUTION: The rotation detector comprises a stator and an inductor 2, and a projecting part 21 and a recessed part 22 are formed at equal intervals over the whole circumferential surface of the inductor 2 to form an irregular surface. The stator comprises a permanent magnet, a magnetic pole piece joined to the pole of this permanent magnet, magnetic poles oppositely disposed in the magnetic pole piece on the irregular surface of the inductor 2 with a gap, and a coil engaged with respective magnetic poles. The shape of the irregular surface of the inductor 2 is determined so that A≤B≤1.3235A, where A is a pitch of the projecting part 21 and B is a length of the projecting part 21.
