PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine system for performing stable self-igniting combustion even in high speed revolution, and to provide a vehicle equipped therewith. SOLUTION: The engine system 200 comprises an ECU 50 and an engine 100. When the engine 100 performs HCCI combustion, the ECU 50 controls each part of the engine system 200 to perform self-igniting combustion at a target combustion timing. The target combustion timing is set to be longer as the revolution speed of the engine 100 is higher while keeping a time from a compression top dead center to the target combustion timing always constant.
