摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cast slab of an Al-Mg-type aluminum alloy of high Mg content for cold rolling which is cast by a twin-roll type continuous casting process and has excellent cold rollability. SOLUTION: The cast slab of aluminum alloy of≤30 mm plate thickness for cold rolling, which is cast by a twin-roll type continuous casting process, has a composition consisting of, by mass, >8 to 14% Mg and the balance Al with impurities. The average Mg concentrations of≥1,000 measuring points, measured using an electron probe X-ray micro analyzer, at a 20μm-square in an optional cross section in the plate-thickness direction of the cast slab are measured over the whole region of the plate thickness of the cast slab, and≥99% of these measured respective average Mg concentrations are made to≤1.3 times the overall average concentration of the measured respective average Mg concentrations.
