PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocurable moisture-proof insulating coating that forms a coating superior in moisture resistance and in adhesion to a substrate by a treatment for a short period of time, and to provide a method for making a moisture-proof insulated electronic component by applying and curing it. SOLUTION: This photocurable moisture-proof insulating coating comprises (A) a photocurable acryloxy terminal polybutadiene or methacryloxy terminal polybutadiene of a number average molecular weight of 300-10,000, (B) a photopolymerization initiator and (C)γ-isocyanatepropyltrimethoxysilane.
