PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aryl homopiperazine compound or its salt useful as an intermediate for medicines, agrochemicals and industrial materials. SOLUTION: This aryl homopiperazine compound represented by the general formula (IV) or its salt is obtained by reacting an aryl halide with a homopiperazine derivative in the presence of a base and a catalyst comprising a trialkylphosphines and a palladium compound.
