PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a canopy device having a canopy body preferably stored even if the canopy device is provided at a vehicle seat itself for an occupant having a regular build. SOLUTION: In the canopy device 4 for the vehicle seat 1, a rearmost seat 1 of a vehicle is adjacently formed with a backside trunk compartment T, and the seat 1 is disposed with the canopy body 10 for covering the head Ch of the seated occupant C. The canopy device has a storing/moving mechanism 20 for moving the canopy body 10 to the trunk compartment T so as to be housed, and an closing/opening mechanism 30 for switching the canopy body 10 between an opened state for covering the head Ch of the occupant C and a closed state. The storing/moving mechanism 20 has a four-bar link mechanism swinging in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The canopy body 10 is divided into a plurality of divisions in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, so that a forward division-forming part is moved by superposition on rearward division-forming parts sequentially into a contraction.
