<p>The method involves transmitting data between two data processing units e.g. desktop and web-server (26, 30) over a network e.g. Internet (16), and testing the data, which is to be transmitted to one unit, using a safety gateway (24), where the units have respective certification information to implement safe data transmission connections. One connection is established between one unit and the gateway, and information of the former unit is adjusted to the gateway. The other connection is established between the gateway and the other unit using the former information. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) arrangement for safe data transmission between two data processing units over a network (2) safety gateway (3) computer program product for operating a data processing unit as a safety gateway (4) data carrier stores the computer program product.</p> |
