<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately grasp a kind of a paper even when there exists a mistake on paper setting by a user, and to make it possible to perform a good outputting of printing. <P>SOLUTION: A printer 1 at first stores information on the paper obtained from a paper size detecting part 20 in a storing part 14. In addition, the printer 1 is equipped with an IC tag reader 22, to obtain the information on the paper from an IC tag 4a of the paper 4 with the IC tag 4a besides the information on the paper obtained from the paper size detecting part 20. Then, based on the information on the paper obtained from the IC tag, the information on the paper stored in the storing part 14 is renewed, and based on this renewed information on the paper, an image formation on the printing paper 4 fed from a tray is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
