PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tip type fuse element in which an effective cross section of the fusible material is reduced and which is superior in fusing performance. SOLUTION: The fusible material 3 is formed on a support substrate 2, and a hole 6 which penetrates through this fusible material 3 and which reaches at least a halfway position in the thickness direction of the support substrate 2 is formed. By formation of the hole 6, the effective cross section of the fusible material 3 is reduced, and by continuously forming the hole also on the support substrate 2, a heat storage structure is realized.
