PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical component holder by which adhesion strength of an optical component is not reduced and a cured adhesive can be easily peeled and removed when the optical component is decomposed. SOLUTION: In the optical component holder 1, a placing part 5 for placing the optical component 6 and a pair of recessed parts 8 connected to at least one part of the entire periphery of the placing part 5 are provided. In the respective recessed parts, an adhesive 7 is pooled and cured for fixing the optical component 6 to the placing part 5. One through hole 9 passing from a bottom surface of the recessed part 8 to an external part of the optical component holder 1 is provided in each recessed part 8. Each through hole 9 has a tapered shape tapered from the bottom surface of the recessed part 8 toward the external part and so constituted that the uncured adhesive pooled in the recessed part 8 does not flow out and peeling work can be performed by inserting a cured adhesive peeling tool (not shown) from the outside.
