PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which detects a delivery situation of a nozzle which carries out the delivery of the transparent liquid by a simple solution and to provide an image forming device and a delivery integrity detection method which can realizes positive two-liquid reaction of an ink including transparent processing liquid and the transparent color material. SOLUTION: The image forming device by this invention (10) includes an ink delivery means which carries out the delivery of the ink containing color material (12K, 12M, 12C, and 12Y), a processing liquid discharge means (11) for discharging processing means which contains transparent and colorless liquid which has insolubilizing or action which makes it cohere for color material of the above-mentioned ink, or it is transparent and colorless liquid which inhibits a spreading of the color material of the above-mentioned ink, and processing liquid delivery means which carries out the delivery of the processilng liquid containing infrared absorption material (11), an infrared irradiation means (26) which irradiates an infrared light at the processing liquid breathed out from the above-mentioned processing liquid delivery means (11), and a processing liquid means (24) including a photoelectric conversion element in sensibility to an infrared region.
