PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the manufacturing cost of a ring shape member by improving the yielding ratio showing the ratio of the weight of a ring shape member to the weight of material. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the ring shape member, a plurality of blanks 3 having a long ring shape are punched from the material 2 having a required width, and then the blanks 3 having the long ring shape are formed into the annular ring shape member 1.
