PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope, etc. capable of enhancing the liquid or gas leakage preventability without impairing the easiness of insertion/detachment of a treatment instrument. SOLUTION: The endoscope comprises a filter unit 34 and a conduit selector knob 75. The filter unit 34 comprises a conduit attached to a treatment instrument insertion part 31 and structured to communicate with a treatment instrument side conduit 30, a tube part 68b as a connection conduit structured to be branched from the conduit to be connected to a suction side conduit 32, and a filter 77a disposed on the suction side conduit 32 side of the tube part 68b for collecting the tissue. The conduit selector knob 75 is to be inserted into the tube part 68b of the filter unit 34, and has a treatment instrument insertion conduit 75b whose diameter is larger than the minimum diameter of the treatment instrument side conduit 30. The conduit selector knob 75 is for switching the state of the conduits from the state in which the insertion of the treatment instrument into the treatment instrument side conduit 30 and communication of the treatment instrument side conduit 30 with the suction side conduit 32 are possible to the state in which the insertion of the treatment instrument and the communication with the suction side conduit are impossible.
