PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel equipped with a finger-positioning part capable of loading a thumb as sitting well and without slipping in a stable state on gripping and holding the reel main body. SOLUTION: This fishing reel is provided by installing a finger-positioning part 10 capable of loading the thumb of a holding hand, at the upper part of a reel main body 1 supporting a spool 5 wound with fishing line as freely rotatable, and the finger-positioning part 10 has a protrusion 10a formed at its center and recessed parts 10b formed as inclined towards left and right both sides from the protrusion 10a.
