<p>The method involves using an algorithm for triggering a passenger protection arrangement depending on the signals of one or more sensors to detect forces acting on the vehicle and adapting the algorithm depending on the signals of additional sensors. It involves deriving a driving situation from the signals of the additional sensors and associating one or more most probable accident types with the driving situation and adapting the algorithm according to these most probable accident types. An independent claim is also included for a passenger protection system for implementing the inventive method.</p> |
