A sole comprising a first member (10) having a first deformation part (11) and a second member (20) having a second deformation part (21). When a shoe is not worn, the first lower surface (10d) of the first deformation part (11) is substantially separated from the second upper surface (20u) of the second deformation part (21) in the vertical direction. When the first deformation part (11) is deformed downward under a first load, the first lower surface (10d) can approach the second upper surface (20u) until the first lower surface (10d) touches the second upper surface (20u). Under a second load, both the deformation parts (11) and (21) are deflected downward while the engagement elements (12, 22) of the deformation parts (11) and (21) are engaged with each other.
